Tuition-Free Charter Education in the Bronx

Classical Charter Schools is a visionary network of tuition‑free public charter schools that was founded in 2006 to bring a classical education model to the South Bronx. Our mission is to build scholars who are ready for the rigors of college‑prep high schools, the next level of academic excellence, and the civic life of a diverse community.
With five strategically located campuses, we offer a rigorous curriculum that blends core academic subjects with art, music, Latin, debate, and fitness. Students experience a holistic education that fosters critical thinking, cultural literacy, and creative expression, while staying grounded in the timeless principles of the classical tradition.
Our classrooms are designed for structured learning and high expectations, yet they remain supportive environments where each child’s unique strengths are nurtured. Through character education and thoughtful assessment, teachers adapt instruction to individual progress, ensuring that every scholar can thrive.
Classical Charter Schools also provides comprehensive high‑school admissions support, guiding families through the competitive process of New York City’s elite high schools. We offer admissions counseling, test preparation, and personalized strategies that empower scholars to secure placements at schools such as Bronx High School of Science, Brooklyn Technical High School, and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.
We pride ourselves on fostering inclusive, community‑based learning. Families, educators, and scholars collaborate to create a culture of curiosity, integrity, and resilience. Our alumni go on to achieve remarkable academic and professional success, and they credit Classical’s rigorous yet compassionate environment for laying the foundation of their achievements.
