About Us

Shanna founded Chara Christian Dance Academy in 2008 with a vision to unite faith and excellence in dance education. A graduate of Texas A%38M University with a B.S. in Sport Management and minors in Dance and Business, she has dedicated her career to nurturing young dancers both artistically and spiritually. In 2017, she and her husband Bobby—Pastor of Friendswood Friends Church—launched the Part of the Art Foundation to offer dance scholarships to children in need. Shanna also serves her community through board positions with the FISD Education Foundation and Friends of Downtown Friendswood. As a certified coach with More Than Just Great Dancing!®, she mentors fellow studio owners on building impactful, student-centered businesses. Outside of her professional work, Shanna is a proud mother of three and a devoted dog lover. She understands the importance of strong foundations—whether it’s guiding a child’s growth or choosing the right tools for her family’s active lifestyle, like the best dog harness for running, a supportive harness for a British Bulldog, or a comfortable dog harness for a Golden Retriever.
