McAlister Family Law was established in November 2017 by Amanda McAlister, with the aim of creating a leading niche family and children law practice like no other. Before founding McAlister Family Law, Amanda headed the matrimonial practice of the international law firm Slater and Gordon: she created not only one of the largest family law teams in the country but also made it the “go to brand” for divorce and separation disputes, as well as being influential in taking it from Tier 4 to Tier 1 in the leading independent directories. In addition, she forged connections with national organizations such as the National Crime Agency and the Police Federation of England and Wales. Following the launch of McAlister Family Law, Amanda was swiftly joined Liz Cowell and Fiona Wood, both as partners and both of whom had been at Pannone LLP. They are without doubt two of the best and brightest family lawyers in the country and are known leaders in their respective fields.
