About Connor, Morneau & Olin
John D. Connor, for the vast majority of his legal career, has focused on representing unions throughout New England. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Western New England College School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Prior to working as an attorney, John was a legislative aid in Washington, D.C.
Since opening his own private practice, The Law Offices of Moriarty & Connor, and now as a partner at Connor & Morneau, LLP, John has represented numerous unions and also spearheaded class action and collective wage and hour claims. He has argued and won cases before the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. In addition, John has engaged in extensive state and federal district court litigation as well as grievance arbitrations and Civil Service Appeals.
Outside of his legal pursuits, John is a proud husband and father of three children. He is also active in various municipal and community endeavors in his hometown of East Longmeadow as well as throughout Western and Southern New England.
Jeffrey S. Morneau has successfully litigated scores of high profile cases, mainly in the areas of employment, wage and hour, and discrimination law. Jeff is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Providence College in 1992 and was recently inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for tennis. He then graduated cum laude from Western New England College School of Law in 1998, where he served as an Articles and Note Editor of the Law Review. Jeff also received a master of laws degree in Labor and Employment Law from Georgetown University Law Center in 1999.
Prior to joining Connor & Morneau, LLP as a partner, Jeff worked in the Litigation/Alternative Dispute Resolution Department and was a member of the Employment Law Practice Group at Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas, LLP, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He then created his own niche practice in employment discrimination and wage and hour law at Donohue, Hyland & Donohue, P.C. in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he worked from 2003 until the formation of Connor & Morneau, LLP in 2011.
In addition to working as a lawyer, Jeff is a real estate broker, avid tennis and platform tennis player, and frequently teaches Employment Law at Holyoke Community College. He is also affiliated with a number of law-related boards and agencies and lectures on a variety of legal topics.
Matthew L. Donohue brings a wealth of experience from his eighteen-year career as a named partner at Donohue, Hyland & Donohue, P.C., in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Shortly after his former partner, Barbara Hyland, was elevated to the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court bench in 2011, Matthew joined Connor & Morneau, LLP, as an of-counsel attorney, specializing in probate and family law along with general legal counseling.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts with a major in Legal Studies and his juris doctorate from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans. Matthew has lived his entire life in Holyoke and has made a longstanding commitment to that community through his practice and private life.
