Gabrielle McKellar studied under the best stylist in the country for several years before deciding to call Baton Rouge her home. She has done the hair of numerous A-list stars and is regularly sought out for consultations regarding color and styling. Gabrielle regularly participates in hair care national conferences, and most recently was an educator for one of the country’s largest hair care companies. Gabrielle McKellar has had a passion for the hair and beauty industry almost all of her life. As the oldest of nine children, Gabrielle has been doing her six sister’s hair for as long as she can remember. Growing up on a farm in Purvis, Mississippi, has taught Gabrielle the value of hard work and determination. After Gabrielle received her cosmetology license and desiring a deeper understanding in hair, Gabrielle went on to study at the Aveda Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. As Gabrielle’s education continued so did her work experience in the surrounding areas. Following Birmingham, Gabrielle worked in Franklin, Tennessee and in Woodland Hills, California. Gabrielle had the privilege of studying under the world-renowned hair professional Nick Arojo in New York City. While in New York she learned the latest techniques and applications for the hair market today. With an abundance of knowledge and experience that Gabrielle has acquired over the years, she has decided to pursue her dream with the opening of Studio Gabriella. There she will offer the latest in hair design, hair color [traditional foil application and modern hair hand painting], hair extensions and more.
