Hand & Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialists

Margo Jones Brady, PT, DPT, CHT is the founder and co-owner of Hand & Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialists. After graduating from the University of Utah Physical Therapy Program in 1977, Margo had the opportunity to treat a number of post-surgical patients referred by Dr. John Ream, a pioneer in microsurgery of the hand. Dr. Ream told Margo of the need to have therapists who specialized in treating hand and upper extremity injuries, as the treatment philosophy differed greatly from general orthopedics. In July of 1978, Margo opened Hand & Upper Extremity Rehab Specialists becoming a forerunner for specialization in hand therapy. In 1991, Margo was among the first therapists in the state to pass a national exam to become a Certified Hand Therapist. The value of specialization, in helping patients return to their activities of life, became more broadly recognized. Other hand therapists joined Hand & Upper Extremity Rehab Specialists opening clinics in Salt Lake City, Park City and Bountiful.
