DJ Stephen Coleclough is a musician, producer, music enthusiast, promoter, and world-class wedding DJ! A London native, DJ Stephen Coleclough has been performing and creating music for more than 15 years. His current ambition is to be the best wedding DJ in the UK, helping couples to create the perfect wedding reception for their guests. The child of musical parents,Stephen was constantly surrounded by music while growing up. Tracks by Fleetwood Mac, Billy Holiday, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, and many other classic artists were constantly being played in the house. This experience encouraged DJ Stephen Coleclough to develop a love of music from a young age. It also helped him develop extensive knowledge of music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. DJ Stephen Coleclough received his very own record player at the tender age of 12 and began practicing his craft. With access to his parent’s vinyl collection, he was spinning tracks by everyone from the Bee Gees through to Queen and Spandau Ballet. Throwing impromptu disco parties for his family and friends became a fun thing to do on the weekends. During his teenage years, Dave discovered electronic music and began listening to the Prodigy, Daft Punk, Goldfrapp, the Chemical Brothers and other dance artists popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. However, he also kept listening to many other genres including punk, rock, country, blues, and pop music. By the time DJ Stephen Coleclough reached his late teens, his turntables had been upgraded and he was playing DJ gigs in local venues. Most of these gigs were at dance venues and usually involved playing thumping electronic tracks to excited crowds. He soon discovered that nothing is more exhilarating than watching a crowded dance floor full of people having the time of their lives. DJ Stephen Coleclough honed his craft over the next few years, learning how to read the crowd and play the right tracks at the right time. DJ Stephen Coleclough began played his first wedding gig 5 years ago. It was a huge success with a packed dance floor and a very happy bride and groom. His vast knowledge of different genres and ability to read the crowd gives helped to get everyone onto the dance floor. Unlike some other DJs, DJ Dave does not scowl or make intense facial expressions while playing tracks! He has fun and encourages everyone else to have fun. If there are tracks that guests suddenly feel the need to hear, he will put them on immediately. His mission is to help everyone have fun and make the night truly memorable.
