Dr Leslie Gonzalez - OBGYN, Gynecologist - Long Beach, CA Greater Area

Dr. Leslie M. Gonzalez was born in Lima, Peru to a Peruvian father and American mother. She moved to the USA at 3 years of age and grew up in suburban New Jersey. She attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. While reconnecting with her roots in Peru, she volunteered one summer at a charity clinic and fell in love with medicine. She pursued her dream and earned her medical degree at UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey in 1997. She then attended New York University Downtown Hospital in Manhattan, New York for her residency training in OB/GYN. She chose OB/GYN because of her love of working with women and her passion for delivering babies. In 2001, she decided to move from the east coast and to explore Southern California as the place to open her private practice. Once in California, she got married and had two children. She loves Southern California for the weather, the sun and the warm people!
