The Junior Master Gardener (JMG) program is an internationally recognized youth gardening initiative developed by the university cooperative Extension network. Designed to inspire and educate, JMG engages children in innovative, hands-on group and individual learning experiences centered around gardening and environmental stewardship. Through fun, age-appropriate activities, the program fosters a lifelong love of gardening, encourages an appreciation for nature, and promotes personal growth. JMG cultivates curiosity, responsibility, and creativity while reinforcing academic concepts in science, math, and language arts. With a mission to grow good kids by igniting a passion for plants and the planet, the Junior Master Gardener program serves schools, youth groups, and community organizations worldwide.
