At Camp Tekoa, every program is meticulously crafted to blend adventure, learning, and faith. Our Summer Resident Camp offers an immersive 6‑week experience where campers thrive in daily activities ranging from rock climbing and canoeing to creative arts and Bible study. The Day Camp brings the excitement of the mountains to local families, with flexible schedules that fit busy lifestyles.
For the whole year, our School‑Year Programming provides structured enrichment through themed sessions, leadership workshops, and environmental stewardship projects that reinforce core values and academic growth.
Our Retreats are transformative gatherings that deepen spiritual reflection, encouraging participants to connect with God’s creation while engaging in group service projects and guided meditation.
Special events—including cultural celebrations, holiday camps, and alumni reunions—add variety and foster a lifelong sense of belonging. Alumni Programs keep former campers connected, offering mentorship and networking opportunities, while our Employment Opportunities allow passionate individuals to join a mission‑driven team.
Each service is delivered by seasoned counselors trained in youth development, outdoor safety, and faith‑based education, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment that nurtures confidence, creativity, and compassion.

Our program portfolio extends beyond traditional summer camps, offering day‑camp sessions, structured school‑year enrichment, themed retreats, and special events that cater to diverse ages and interests. Camp counselors—trained in youth development and outdoor leadership—guide campers through a curriculum that balances skill acquisition with spiritual growth. From Bible‑based lessons that encourage reflection and service to hands‑on experiences that cultivate leadership, campers emerge with confidence, compassion, and a sense of purpose. Parents can trust that every activity is infused with the United Methodist tradition of service and community, ensuring that each child leaves with both tangible skills and a heartfelt connection to God’s creation.
At Camp Tekoa, community is more than a word—it’s the foundation of every experience. From the first welcome at the lodge to the final sunset hike, campers, families, and staff form bonds that resonate long after the tent poles are taken down. We proudly serve as a steward of the Blue Ridge’s natural beauty, integrating environmental stewardship into daily life. Through rigorous safety protocols, eco‑friendly practices, and a commitment to inclusivity, we invite every child to explore, learn, and grow in an environment that honors faith, nature, and the pursuit of excellence. Join us and discover the adventure, camaraderie, and spiritual growth that awaits every child at Camp Tekoa.
