About Us

Julia Britz is a licensed naturopathic doctor specializing in integrative mental health care. With a personal history of multiple diagnoses and skepticism from traditional medicine, Julia found healing through naturopathic approaches such as targeted amino acid therapy, nutraceuticals, NAD+, and peptide therapies. Now, she is dedicated to helping others struggling with anxiety disorders like OCD, disordered eating, depression, mood disorders, and psychiatric medication tapering. Unlike the common advice that mental health can only improve through therapy or psychiatric medications, Julia offers a third, holistic option grounded in naturopathic medicine. Her approach emphasizes teamwork—she listens closely to her clients’ stories, collaborates on treatment decisions, and tailors plans that address root causes rather than just symptoms. She delivers care primarily through telemedicine, making her expertise accessible regardless of location. Julia earned her doctorate from Bastyr University and is not a psychiatrist or MD, but her unique perspective as a “tough case” survivor fuels her passion. After being dismissed by doctors and told pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy were the only paths, she created MyOCDdiary.com to share her journey living with OCD and related disorders. Her 2014 TED talk, “MyOCDdiary: an imperfect story,” highlights her commitment to honesty and healing. Her clinical work integrates natural modalities including functional blood chemistry analysis, epigenetic testing, bioresonance, botanical medicine, micronutrient supplementation, and detox protocols. Julia expertly navigates complex mental health scenarios and herb-drug-supplement interactions. She uses lab work and personalized supplements to support clients’ neurochemistry, aiming to improve quality of life with or without psych meds and to help the brain recover from their effects. An empathic, determined practitioner, Julia is passionate about supporting your innate ability to heal.
