Chris Lucero is a native of Albuquerque’s South Valley and West Side, who became an attorney in order to protect the rights of the citizens of New Mexico. In both 2015 and 2014, Attorney Chris Lucero was named one of Super Lawyers Magazine’s ® Rising Stars in the area of Criminal Defense. Chris’s practice places an emphasis on trial practice and Criminal Defense. He has handled numerous DWI and other criminal cases with great success. His practice also prioritizes Personal Injury, including car accidents and slip and fall injuries. Since establishing Lucero and Howard in 2012, Chris has accomplished tremendous victories for those of his clients who have been accused of crimes. Prior to starting Lucero and Howard, Chris handled all manners of criminal matters at the Mark Keller Law Firm. Before that, he handled Employment and Personal Injury matters at the Narvaez Law Firm. Chris brings experience and passion to each case. He understands how important it is to bring a personalized focus to each client’s needs. In law school, Chris and his law partner, Leon Howard, were the first ever co-recipients of the UNM School of Law Faculty Award for dedication and service to the law school community. Chris brings that same dedication and service to each of his cases in order to provide New Mexicans the representation they deserve. Chris practices in each court in the state, from the Magistrate, Municipal and Metro courts to State District and Federal courts.
