Lewis Babcock LLP was established in 1984 in Columbia, SC, and is still served by its founding partners. Today, A. Camden Lewis and Keith Babcock are accompanied by a small and cohesive team of skilled attorneys and paralegals who bring a wealth of experience to serving their clients’ needs. Lewis Babcock was one of the first firms in the region to pursue legal malpractice cases and is still a leader in this complicated practice area. Attorneys have served as advisors to various courts for more than 20 years. Cam Lewis has served as chairman of the Advisory Committee on Standards of Judicial Conduct and has argued three cases before the United States Supreme Court. Keith Babcock served as a bar examiner for six years and has been the only lawyer serving on the state’s panel of judicial ethics. Keith also has an outstanding reputation for representing real property owners in condemnation and other disputes and is the only South Carolina lawyer who sits on the Owners’ Counsel of America.
