REBECCA THACHER
Rebecca Thacher focuses her practice on family law matters, including divorce, custody and visitation, child support, equitable distribution and spousal support in both Circuit and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts throughout Northern Virginia. Ms. Thacher graduated from George Mason School of Law in 2009. During her tenure in law school, she was President of the Trial Advocacy Association and received the Virginia Trial Lawyers’ Association Student Advocacy Award in 2009. Upon graduation, she began working as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Prince William County, where she prosecuted criminal matters with a focus on narcotics and violent crimes. In 2015, she received the Trial Attorney of the Year Award for General District Court from the Prince William County Bar Association in recognition of her trial work. After more than ten years in the Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Office, Ms. Thacher transitioned into the private sector and now focuses her practice on family law matters. Ms. Thacher uses her trial and negotiation skills to advocate for her clients while giving each the utmost personal attention and dedication.
