June 30, 2006 New Laptop Security Flaw

Another security flaw has reared its ugly head. As reported in FierceWiFi, "clever security researchers said they have found a way to seize control of a laptop computer by manipulating buggy code in the system's wireless device driver." The researchers, David Maynor and Jon Ellch, discovered that by throwing a lot of wireless packet information, or "fuzzed" the wireless cards, control of a laptop computer could be gained.
