2008 NFL Mock Draft
I know its a little early to start working on 2008 NFL Mock Drafts but thats exactly what NFL Draft Dog has done. Every draft has its strengths and weakness. The 2007 NFL Draft was known for its strength at the receiver position and that held true on draft day as six receivers were taken in the first round alone. The 2008 NFL Draft looks to be strong at running back and linebacker, but I really like this group of offensive linemen, especially if the top two juniors enter the draft: OT Ryan Clady, 6-5 320 pounds from Boise State and OT Michael Oher from Ole Miss. Junior star OT Jared Gaither, 6-8 335 pounds from Maryland, has been kicked off the team for academic issues and will not play college football in 2007. He might enter the 2007 supplemental draft in July or he may sit out the 2007 season and try to make a comeback for the 2008 season, making him a candidate for the 2009 NFL Draft. He might even sit out the 2007 season and enter the 2008 NFL Draft, but his draft stock would suffer heavily after sitting out a year.
Check out my 2008 NFL Mock Draft to see the top offensive lineman. Besides those in my mock, here are a few others that could be drafted very early next year (2008 Draft):
1. Gosder Cherilus, 6-6 320 lbs. Boston College
2. Pedro Sosa, 6-4 303 lbs. Rutgers
3. John Greco, 6-4 318 lbs. Toledo
4. Will Arnold, 6-3 321 lbs. LSU
5. Chris Williams, 6-5 320 lbs. Vanderbilt
6. Kirk Barton, 6-6 325 lbs. Ohio State
7. Heath Benedict, 6-5 333 lbs. Newberry
